Tucked away in the heart of the city on Dob Street, Olimpia Pub isn’t just a cellar bar – it’s a world of its own. Here, prices are still down-to-earth, the walls are adorned with old wine competition certificates and memorabilia of sports legends, and the glasses are always full – whether it’s Muscat wine or a pint of draft Arany Ászok.
Our name honors the legendary Olympic wrestling champion Imre Polyák, whose memory we still cherish today – along with the friendly atmosphere, fine wines, and that unmistakable pub vibe that persists stubbornly only at Olimpia.
Everyone finds their place here – whether it’s for a quick slice of bread with lard, a foosball match, or a long conversation accompanied by the juke-box soundtrack. Our walls tell stories, guests write their own, and behind the bar you’ll get not just drinks but sometimes a bit of wise advice.
If you want to experience a place where paintings are created by regulars, the floor is made from boiler plates, and a dance or soap opera-inspired shout can break out at any moment – look no further. This is Olimpia.
Come down – a place where life happens.
